Hometown: Berkeley, California
I am an illustrator and designer based in North Berkeley, where I grew up surrounded by color, creativity, and community. My work is influenced by the textiles and design sensibilities of the 1970s, a time that continues to shape how I see pattern, form, and everyday beauty.
Each piece begins with a hand-drawn sketch that I build upon through digital collage. Drawing from my background in textile design, I incorporate vintage fabrics to create layers of depth and movement. My work reflects an appreciation for daily life in Berkeley — moments of connection and quiet joy.
ART ON DISPLAY
Piece Name: A Haircut
A Haircut was inspired by Maru, the hair salon next to my studio in North Berkeley. I often see people leaving after a cut with a renewed sense of self and quiet confidence. Built with layered digital collage and vintage textiles, the piece celebrates hairstyling as its own form of art making — an everyday act of creativity, care, and transformation.
